Service engine Light
With cold weather I found out that the heated seats were not working. I wanted to make sure the fuse was OK but, pulled the wrong one while the truck was running.
Since then the SES light is on. Any ideas on what could have caused this and how to clear it?
TIA
You can take it to AutoZone and they will scan and clear the codes for you for free.
What lind of mpg are you getting with the 4.30 gears? I'm thinking of changing from the 3.73s to the 4.30s and trying to decide if it's worth the $$.
With the 4.3 I get 11 around town (17 miles each way about 3/4 are mostly city the remaining are country type roads)
Pulling my 7500 LB travel trailer I am getting 8.5 to 9.2. It is a really nice pull and I leave it in OD since at 55 I am just below the power band and don't have issues with it hunting for gears.
I really got lucky, I just assumed it was 3.73 when I looked at it. After driving I was pretty sure that it was 4.3 and wasn't going to buy it because of the gears. In the end I don't really think it matters except for towing where I can use OD. Of course if I communted on the highway where I would travel at 70 it would really be sucking down the gas because of the engine speed.
