Just connected my new 07 with my garage door. Seemed more difficult than others. I actually had to connect first with the hand held opener until I got the flashing lights. Then I pushed the learn button on my door controller and pushed homelink for a few cycles of holding in for a couple of seconds each time. Seemed my 05 homelink connected with the learn button alone.
You may need to find the manual on your garage door opener. My old style opener/motor merely required that I hold down the remote button while programming the one in the truck. The newer one has a "learn" button on the unit that you have to push before programming the HomeLink.
My wife's 06-has homelink. I cannot get it to sync with my Genie Opener.
Follow the distructions in your manual. I set mine up for a Genie and it was a pain in the A$$. Had to press the learn button on the unit and then run back to the truck in time to complete the process. Took me about five times before I got to it work.
Genie here also. You have, I believe 30 seconds to press the learn button and then the button in the truck. It is a "rolling" code on the opener. If you follow the instructions and maybe have a helper it isn't too bad. I did mine and my wifes in her Sorento in a few trys.
