Alright, some of you may remember that about a month ago I had an incident where my oil drain plug came loose and all the oil drained out of my engine causing a shut-down on the side of the highway. Well, now it has become obvious that there is a small leak with the new drain plug. I have tightened it down as hard as I could, and I'm not a small guy. Is it possible that the pan is stripped or something that is causing the plug to loosen a little at a time? If so, do I have to replace the entire pan, or is there something more simple that I can do to stop the leaking. Thanks for the help.

Reason: typo
There is a small snap ring that comes with it to prevent accidenal opening but the spring on the opening lever is stong enuff that I dont think it would open anyway
either of you two want my stock drainplug and washer? i removed mine to install a Fumoto like Amiller posted, and my stock plug didn't leak when i took it out. Ford even makes replacement washers for the plug, need the part number?
are you replacing/using the copper washer/gasket?
without it they will all leak

Exactly!!! Everyone buy yourself a supply of copper sealing rings for this. I buy them by the 100 lot at work. Every time you take the drain plug out, replace the ring. They are a soft metal and part of the design is that they deform between the plug and the flange on the pan and fill all the little gaps.
Plug comes out, new sealing ring goes on, every time.
I use a new copper washer with every oil change. They're cheap, like $1.50 for a 3 pack at Orielly's. I keep a supply on hand. I've never had a problem with a dripping plug. I'm pretty sure that the size is a 14mm.
