There aren't any off the shelf turbo items for the 300. Not saying that you can't turbo them. It'll just be modifying a stock exhaust manifold or header setup to attach a turbo, and then the plumbing to hook it all up with.
A few people have done this already... so don't feel discouraged, it isn't impossible.
Btw, very nice looking ride, thats what my poor 2wd wants to grow up to be.
Right on, thanks for the response desperado, I'll have to learn more about turbos to see if I can figure something out one of these days. Also thanks for the compliment, I still have alot of things I want to do to it over time or until I win the lottery lol. Btw, I like the ford sticker on your windshield, where did you pick that up at? Thanks again for the info. Take care.
That picture in my avatar is my old ford pickup that i used to have. I think i remembered buying it about 8 years ago at autozone. I haven't seen one like that since. There is a LOT i still want to do to my truck, its nowhere near complete..and nowhere near that good looking.
But i can dream cant i?
If you want to learn more about turbos on these sixes, i've got a link that i'll pm to you. Its a wealth of info over there.
Several people over at the fordsix forum have turbo'd 250's. The basic principals are the same for our big block six's. In several way's it will be easier to do this with a carb vs an efi. Although, with the MAF systems and some custom table changes the efi's will be easier to dial in an maintain.
Check out TurboMustangs forum and Ray Hall Turbocharging(turbofast) both have good starting information on turbos.
