chopped top
hi she
don't know that anyone sells them already chopped... you pretty much have to fit the windshield after you do the chop... no two are the same...
there are shops that will do it with no liability... if it breaks it's still your windshield... there are a couple of methods that are commonly used... one is belt sanding the edge down slowly.. the other is sandblasting...
I have a friend who chopped 4" and went through 4 windshields before the 5th one finally came out in one piece... at around $200 a pop it can get real expensive...really fast...
best bet is check with some of the rod shops that specialize in chops and see what they suggest... or some of the adventursome glass shops
that is one of the main reasons my '53 is full height...that and the cutting of the top into 4 pieces
gud luck with your project... if you get it all together it looks great... although you might want to reconsider 6" that's a lot and a big loss of head room on a long ride...

Check your options and glass shops first before the chop. GOing to tough with curved glass at that drastic of a chop. It CAN be done...how much do you want to spend? My Hubby is battling with the corner glass of his 53 GMC chop with 6". Unless you are short, you will also have to lower your seat or get neck cramps trying to peek out of the window. BUT! the 6" chop does look niiiiice!! IF you click on my ling below and look under his and hers, you can see what a 6 " chop looks like on his, IT sits next to my FORD! so you can kinda get an idea of what a 6" chop will look like.
