Hey Ya'll Check out my progress in progress I am over in Korea for a year and its home in the garage but I can still take and save ideas and suggestions.
I am also in Korea due to the military commitment but will be back soon in July 03....going to check on my family and the baby (54 F100) this month....check out my truck and pics in the user gallery...still have a couple of things to get before tearing it back down and ground up restore...(a year from July hopefully!!!)
Hey James
Hot diggity dig dog never thought I would hear from a fellow ford lover over in the land of Turtle ditches. Like your truck I only wish I could have had the willingness of the wife to purchase a 37-56 the classics. But its all good I have always been one to do things a little different than others. When everyone else was burning up the roads in Mustangs and camaro’s and firebirds. I was sport’n a 1960 F100 with a 351 Windsor. Its all good where are you located; I’m at Camp Greaves on the DMZ with the 506th Air Assault Infantry.
Nice truck , Looks very much like mine did when I bought it in 1988.I will be looking forward to seeing your web site and the work that will be done on your truck.
... cool web site. Nice start. Just one tip, you need to get the pics much smaller. I am using DSL and it took quite long to get to see your truck. Just for the fun of it I right clicked it, safed it and looked at the file size. 2.9 Mbyte. No wonder it takes so long to load. The pics on my web site are all just 15 to 20 Kbytes and still look good enough. Take a look at
Thanks John
You have a very nice truck yourself and I can only hope mine comes out as nice. I especially like your grill how did you get it to come out so nice did you have it dipped? And what year bumper it that?
Thanks Kia
I also like your truck it’s nice to see an old ford truck lover in Deutschland. I have a very good friend in Rostdorf near Bamberg he is a fan and Has a 72 Lincoln con Mark III. Thanks for the advice about the site I will reduce the size of those pictures. What made you decide to paint your grill instead of chrome?
Thanks Edward The picture hides a lot the grill is a used one. I found it at carlisle a car parts flea market it had good looking chrome but if you get up close to you can tell. The bumper came off a 59 truck I used to own. You will have a good truck and it will do what you want it to do. It looks like it will clean up well. I am looking foward to seeing it fixed up. I never rebuilt my truck I have done lot of work on it any knowledge I can shair just let me know.John
Hi Edward,
Nice truck! Looks very solid, and will make for a great project. I look foward to hearing/seeing more as you go .
Best of luck with your new find!
