I have been getting parts togeather for some time now for my 351 build but I bought an 01 saleen so I no longer need to push lots of power so I decided on a moderate build. Im trying to keep the stock fuel system and i read it was good to 350hp so here is my parts list;
Do I even need a 60mm TB or should I get a 58mm?
I really dont want to modify the fuel system aside from injectors and a Tune....So what do you all think? Anything I should do?
If you're doing a rebuild with tight clearances, skip the HV pump. Std volume will do you. If you want more pressure, get a std vol.-high pressure pump.
hmm...any suggestions? Actually im not sure what would qualify....I have the short block all assembles and the build sheet is in front of me but I dont knew what tolerances you mean...like side clearance is .015 to .018 .....not sure what that is.
Doesn't the Edelbrock truck intake use the twin butterfly throttle bodies same as stock? I'm thinking the stock TB would be plenty for that combo anyway...

Clearances as in between the crank journals and rod/main bearings.
I was hoping the stock TB would work because that would save me $350 bucks right off the bat!
My build sheet shows that the crank is ground +.010/.010...with a main journals at 2.999 with a vertical clearance of +.0022 + .0027 and Crank thrust +.005 w/cap
Rod journal says 2.3005 with vertical clearance +.0020 to +.0023 and side clearance of +.015 to +.018
Thats how it reads on the sheet and its not anymore discriptive than that so....lol I dont know if thats tight enough or if its loose.
