Meg swirl remover will help...I've used it before.
Just be very careful when you wash and wax to start at the top of the vehicle and work your way down. This helps to not scratch your paint from dirt picked up from the typically dirty parts of the car/truck.
Always use a good quality mit, never use the car wash scrub brushes on your paint, etc. I've also read to not rub in a circle....just back and forth.

Hey DRM, If you can find one, try a microfiber cloth wrapped sponge. These work great and do not attract that fine grit that tends to scratch paint. I used to use a nice soft mitt. Then I tried one of those sponges.... I will never go back. I think I got mine at Autozone. It was only about $10!

My buddy showed me how claying the paint really helps, but how often should you do it.

I do mine every year in the spring. I live in an are where there is very little road salt so it's not that bad. When I lived up north I usually did it twice a year. All my vehicles looked like new when I sold them. When I traded in my Expedition it had 197,000 on it and it looked new compared to some of the 04's that were on the lot used.

Whatever you do, if you drop the clay, throw it away! I usually cut min in half when I first open it. I wrap half up and then use the other half. When I first started using it I dropped several pieces!

For the Maguire product, is there a difference between the paint cleaner wax and the wax cleaner?

The only Meguires product I have ever seen is the cleaner wax. I would think that wax cleaner would remove wax. Besides, why would you want to clean wax? It is easier to just strip it off and re-apply.

The Megs cleaner wax is a paint cleaner and wax combined into one. This good to use after you have clayed your truck and right before you add a final layer of wax like Megs NXT.

I need to remove the swirls first and the cleaner wax says it removes them. I was at Autozone today and held both nxt and cleaner wax and they both say removes swirls. I have the cleaner wax so I'll try that first and if I have no luck I'll buy the nxt.
