F2 again

Blinkers? Has anyone ever heard of a manuel blinker (sign, more or less) that attach's to the top of the cab behind the driver's head? One of my 49 F2's has three holes in the roof behind the driver for one to bolt too. I have talked with the previous owner about it. He remembers tossing it into a canyon when he was younger. Needless to say a search in THE canyon 40 plus years later found me nothing. Has anyone else ever heard of these and does anyone have any pic of what one is suppose to look like? Thanks.

I've seen something like that -- basically a forearm and hand made of wood that can be used to signal turns and slowing down like the normal hand signals. I don't have any pictures. I think I've seen pictures in magazines, but it seems like it has been on trucks older than 1949.

Yes, they were used on Model A trucks and other of that vintage. I see them on uPay every once in a while.
