ive owned this 92 f350 7.3 idi for 6 yrs. from day one its had code 23 in it.the fipl has been changed and set several times.over the years ive had a lot of tranny probs.nobody knows why the code will not go away even the dealer.so i am back under the hood trying to get thse code to go away.
i set voltage at 1.0 closed.wot wast 5.01. i then reset the codes and 23 came right back.i then set the idle to .88 wot 4.98 still code came back.now ive set idle to .65 and wot is 4.75 codes still there.this is a brand new fipl i am working with.
the haynes manual says tps for gas engines should be .50-1.0 idle and 4.00-5.00 wot.if this holds true for diesel why do i still have this code?i have a fresh rebuilt tranny installed with a billet TC and a brand new solenoid pack, also i just put in a new brain.i know the fipls are whats causing the tranny probs.what can i do to get rid of this f%$&(*$ code
i got it set within specs now.1.00 idle and 3.94 wot.still have code 23 in my koeo memory.disconnected battery ,left it unhooked for 5 min, hooked it back up ,ran codes, still there.
maybe i am doing something wrong while erasing koeo memory, and thats why 23 is still there?
