We got a leaker
I have a 99 f250 2wd and I have a oil leak, Its dripping on my exhaust and smells terrible. I havent had much time to look but its using 1 quart every 3000 miles. Im not getting and milky build up when I check the oil thinking its a head leaking coolent in. Any ideas where to start? thanks

I suspect its the motor oil pan or a gasket leak. You could try removing the valve cover and add a good bead of gasket seal together with another new valve cover. This will be an easy change but oil pan change is another thing.

what engine is it? i had a turbocharger pedestal leak where my pedestal rod for the EBPV had a seal that was passing oil, and oil shot out and attacked my downpipe. it coated one whole side of the pipe all the way down in oil, however it didnt burn much.

if its leaking on your y pipe on your exhaust, im willing to bet you its your head, mine is doing the same thing, and that seems to be the general consensus, if you look closely from underneath, towards the cab, bottom of your head youll probably see seepage, just an idea, but when mine started leaking, i thought it was a simple fix too, check it out. Mines going into the garage tuesday, seeing as i just bought it 2 weeks ago
