Thanks for all the help, I called my local ford dealer and they want $7.75 for one copper washer. wow!! I can order them from dieselman online for $4.50 a 4 pack
you have to use your credit card. The leak is not to bad and I dont need to change the oil again for 2500 miles so I may just wait and get a new washer for the next oil change.

Try the appropiate forum... this is the 6.0L diesel forum.

But when your 4cyl is ready to grow up into a diesel... stop on back.

Honestly, check on-line and in the appropiate forum as the people with your same truck/motor probably already know the links or books to buy and use.

Do a google search for reapir manuals for your model year and truck.

As far as thermostst... is it not on top of the motor where the upper radiator hose hooks into the top of the motor????

Just funny that a guy with 1 post to his name and drives a Ranger 4cyl... posts in the diesel forum????

does it take a long time to drain the oil through a fumoto valve. i got one for my new truck but i am hesitant to put it on. just afraid that someday it's going to leak and i'll be dumping oil on the road. i know i have read where no one has reported one leaking, but after getting it in the mail. i changed my mind for now and haven't changed my oil yet in the new truck. waiting for the new rotella cj4 to come out soon. this week i hope.
