F250 Sd Seating

Hello:

I've got a 1999 F250 SD V10 XLT with Manual 5 speed and it has the 40/60/40(?) seating with reg cab, which is quite nice but I'm interested in exploring the possibilities and ins/outs of switching to Capt Chairs with a Center Console. If my information is right, that was an option for the SD but I need to explore further.

Ideas, anyone??

TIA for inputs.

bill

Yes that definately is an option i would think all you would have to do is take the original out and find a couple f buckets and a console and it should bolt right in. The console I'm not sure about but the seats should bolt in.

I have a center console (came from an F250) if you are interested in it. Its tan with 4 cup holders and the rear radio contols. $50 plus shipping.

I'm sure that was an option but if not, it shouldn't be hard to rig it up.

I did exactly what you are talking about to my truck. The only difference is that my truck is a 2001 CC. I had the 40/20/40 split bench and I switched them out for captains chairs out of a 2004 Excursion Limited. I got the center console from a guy who was running a classified ad here on FTE. The switch was a simple unbolt/bolt up installation. I already had a power driver seat but the new seats where both power with heat so the wiring was a little tricky but I finally got it. They work and look great. Just wish I would have ordered the truck with captains chairs in the first place. BTW, I got my new seats off of a guy on ebay.

Many thanks for the info. I've gotta decide for sure and am also looking at staying with the 40/20/40 and installing the JL Auio Stealthbox .

Not sure yet but good info given here as always.

Thanks

bill
