Hey there fellow Ford truck addicts. Just joined the N. CA chapter to meet other Ford truck aflicted folks, like myself. I've got a new ('06) F350, and planning lots of mods. I've always been a Ford fan, and finally bought my dream truck about 5 years ago when we lived in Phoenix. Then we had to move to CA, and housing costs, etc...bye bye dream truck.
Finally, back in the game again, and with the ultimate dreamer this time. I went dually! She's black, crew, diesel, long bed, 4x4, dually. Fits the whole family, toys in the bed, and the dog! I'll post pics soon.
So, are there any N. CA get togethers planned soon? I know the weather starting to turn, but that's half the fun, if we meet at some mud - what's that ATV park just E. of Sacramento? Anyway, pleased to meet you all, and look forward to wheeling/mod talk/BS'ing/etc.

Hi Patrick, and Welcome! We're still in the process of building this chapter, and have no definite plans for an organized meet in the immediate future (although that's subject to change with short notice!) as we're pretty spread out around the north state. But we have been doing some talking, and are certainly open to suggestions.
As long as you're here, please be sure to add yourself to the Frapper map. You can use it to see where other members are located, and to see who's near you.
So again welcome, and don't hesitate to jump right in to any thread that catches your attention!
On Edit: Hmm, I see you've been a member of FTE for close to a year. The name Racespyder in your post caught my eye, I see we have someone by that name on the Frapper map in Sonoma...would that be you? And we have a former FTE member from AZ. clear back in '02...from what you said above, I presume that would also be you?
Anyway, glad you finally got your dream truck! (For the second time...!)

TigerDan, Yup, you're a pretty good slueth. I already added myself on Frapper (in Sonoma), have been a member since I purchased my first truck, back in Phoenix, with the handle "racespdyer".
Looking forward to N. CA chapter events and participation. BTW, do you know if anyone else is planning on going to the SEMA show in Vegas in a few weeks? I'm going just for the truck exhibitors! If you haven't been, it's awesome.
patrick,
Welcome to the chapter!
Just a thought, if you're interested. I have become a member of both The Northern Calif Chapter and Nevada Chapter. Mainly because I live close to the border. Our Northern Cal Leader is also a dual member and has participated recently in a Nevada Chapter event. Nevada Chapter is also in the building phase so you could be a part in both if you wish.
Just a suggestion as you seem to have stated an interest in a Las Vegas event.
Once again, welcome. See ya on the boards. Maybe even on both chapter forums.
Meat Man, started to ask why you had not joined, but then thought I should check my inbox first --- and there your request was. Sorry if I was slow to process it. Anyway, welcome aboard.
And, heck yes, we want to do a meet. We were talking of doing one near Hollister if there was any San Jose interest, otherwise at an off road park near Modesto. One of our members has volinteered her Explorer to see if we can get it stuck. She wants to see what it will do, and we are more then willing to show her!
Anyway, welcome aboard both of you - and I will start a seperate thread on the off-road meet.
Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm in the North Bay area, but regularly drive to Sacramento for work, so either is fine for me. San Jose is a bit far for my 15 MPG right now (hoping to get better MPG as my truck breaks in). Pleasanton isn't too far away though. When's the car show Jag?
I am in favor of any sort of meet you guys want to set up, but it should be announced and discussed in its own thread. That way everyone knows what is being discussed, not just those who wish to greet a new member.
Please move the discussion of the Pleasenton show to a new thread.
