DVD NAV System
Any idea on what speaks would go good with this?
I am coming from an 2003 Cts LOADED with the bose system -- SO I want a pretty good system in the truck... something that sounds GOOD...
for some cool info like how to bypass it go to www.avic411.com
right now. Just haven't had the time. During the day I install Ford
Accessories until 4:30 then after that I hit the streets installing for
customers for my business. Stack that on top of a 6 month old baby and
a time demanding wife leaves me hardly any time for my own ride...lol
My complete demo package consists of the N3, 6 DVD indash, XM
Navtraffic
tuner, backup cammera, all from pioneer. Audio end is entirely from DB
Drive. I went with the N3 in my excursion because with it sitting on top of the six disk DVD it will make the monitor sit up higher above the dash where I like it. Also it allows me to keep the nav disk in the radio since the music will come from the 6 disk. Bit more money than just the Z1 setup. Put alot of thought into each unit.
Installation in your F150 couldn't get any easier. The dash piece just
pops off with some firm pulling. Metra or Scosche make excellent
double
din mounting brackets for your unit. Just screw your radio into the
bracket and then screw it into the dash with the same four 7mm screws
that hold the original radio.
As for the bypass. If your unit was manufactured prior to June, 06
then
you will need to ground the parking brake and either flick your parking
lights three times during boot-up or add a PAC TR7 pulse timer to do it
for you. If your radio is made after June, 06 then just move the phone
mute wire to the bottom right corner pin of the harness. Ground the
parking brake wire and you're done.
That website will verify if I'm correct about the bypass (

Pioneer re-released a newer version of there ipod unit. The previous SUCKED!!!! But the newer seams easier to control and people seem "happier" with it. I am installing a Pioneer DEH-P3800MP and the ipod adapter either thursday or saturday for a customer. Depends when it gets here. I already told her husband that I gotta have her ipod at time of install. I'll post my opinion of it after I install.
