2007 6.0L worth a try?

Hi all,
I've had terrable luck with my 03 and I'm a little hesitant to drop 45 grand on a new one. But I just can't stand the thought of owning a Chevy or Dodge. You folks that own the 06 and 07's have any regrets? Also Ford sent me a coupon for $2500 about 6 mounths back if I bought a new one but was to mad to even think of buying a new one at the time and chucked it. Anybody know if that offer still aplies?
Thanks,
JMC

well if you think about it, the dodges are the only ones at this point that dont have all the emissions garbage on them that is causing all the problems with these engines. I have a 2005 ford which leaks oil, if I had to do it over again I would have purchased a dodge. Come next year dodge will also have emissions junk so get the cummins while its still good is my opinion.

Not one regret. I traded an 03 6.0 that was a great truck but just wasn't quite big enough.
The 06 has been fantastic... And I work it-->https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...115601&width=0

I've got a 2006 coming up on 8k miles with no oil leaks, no issues at all. Love the truck. Two friends have 2003's and had no issues. I don't know how I'd feel if I had your bad luck though. Dumping the clunker and getting brand new truck with 100k warranty may just be what you need. My 2 cents. Maybe you can call the dealer about the rebate.

I have an 06 6.0 PSD with 21k and no problems at all. No regrets and would buy another if I had a need.

$2500 loyalty coupons, $3000 rebates, $1000 FMCC bonus cash, 0% for 72 months......

and now you're debating whether to buy one?

sigh. No, the coupon offer's expired, yada yada. Actually, there's a pretty serious availability issues surfacing that could be serious until after the 1st of the year when the '08's start hitting the ground. Dang I hate to see posts like this.

JMC,

I have no regrets with my 06. Much better truck than my 03 or 04. Really like the 6 speed over the torqshift. Really like the braking and the turning radius also. I don't think you would regret getting an 06 or 07.

Jim

I have just reached 4k on my 06 and could not be any happier with it. Two of my buddies and my uncle also purchased 06's and all are running great (One being chipped with 35k on it).

I bought my 06 PSD this past July, I haved towed with it and drive it all over the place . I now have 9000 miles on it and I absolutely love the truck. Not 1 single issue with it, plus I am getting 17-19.25 mpg (hand calculated) and it isn't even broken in yet. Needless to say, I am very pleased!

Bought an 06 6.0L PSD brand new, with 405 miles on it. It's got 26000 hard miles on it so far with nary a glitch. So far it's been the best money I've ever spent.

Sorry- but 4 or 5 grand does get me a little excited.

BTW- I owned two- a '06 and a '07. Zero problems with both trucks, in a total of about 15,000 miles.
