Arond 2000RPM-2600RPM, my intake makes this loud bussing sound. It only occurs on the highway and now when I floor it. Only when I slowly push the gas pedal on the highway. Everything seems to be installed tightly, but there is no way for me know because even with the hood open in a parking lot and to have my firend hit the gas and duplicate the RPM, we can not recreate the sound. It only happens on the highway....Definitely cmoing from the driver's side towards the windshield
What makes you think it is the intake? I would first think it may be some wind noise. Wind can get in small places and make things vibrate, whissle, sing, etc. It can also carry through the firewall or dash and make it sound as though its coming from one place and not another.
I have the same problem took it to the dealer and they it is wind. I don't really believe that because it just recently started. Will be curious to know if anyone else had that problem and what remedy they have.
the Volant air box has two mounting holes that mate with existing factory holes. When i installed it, only one would really line up and the other hole, i left it alone because i didnt want to twist the box. Now, i think it may be because of that. Sometime this week, im going to go and buy bolts and nuts and try to lined that up and bolt the second bolt down. hopefully that fixes it
