We had this issue on one of our trucks at work and it was air in the fuel lines. What work did you have done? Last oil change? Current oil level? Fuel filter change? Any other new problems noticed (skipping, smoking, ect)?

We replaced the clips on the injectors....the glow plug light does not come on...but it starts just fine...it will not accelerate...the petal is dead...last oil change about 1000 miles ago.

Do you mean you can mash the pedal and the rpm's do not increase?

Sounds like the throtle position sensor. Part of the pedal assembly

Welcome to FTE rustybry.
You mean it won't move at all, just idle? Got a check engine light? What work was done in April?
EDIT: I'm the slow typist today!

The problem I had was resolved by replacing the #45 fuse. Same problem, but my instrument cluster was dead too. Someone else posted a wire in their steering colum had been chapped through the insulation and it was shorting out. The fuse issue I had was annoying since it is listed as IGNITION and throttle control.. How dumb of me to think if it was an ignition fuse that the thing would actually start.

it's back!

ok, well I tightened the loose wire on Sunday and the truck worked all day...Monday am, got in it to go to work and it had no acceleration again. Starts fine just wont go! Late Monday the mechanic came to the house....it started and MOVED for him! Today worked all day. The only thing I have noticed is when the glow plug light does NOT come on...it wont accelerate..if it does come on, it will accelerate. any more ideals!
