2001 f-150 5.4L supercrew. When turning ignition sw. to on pos. should I be able to hear the fuel pump? The engine turns over like normal but won't fire. Also Is there a fuse for the fuel pump?

NO. Normal driving.

 

They are pretty quiet, at least mine is.
You can check for pressure at the schrader valve on the fuel rail.
There may be a fuse in the power distribution box under the hood.
