Torque Converter Problems

Hello, I need to know if the torque converter in cars with the aod is the same as the ones in the bronco (302)? The local yard says $25 if they have it and I pull it. Thanks for any help.

Not likely. The engines in the trucks aren't even the same as far as torque developement so I doubt a converter from a car would work as well or for as long given the differences. I could be dead wrong but the concept makes sense in my mind.

Thanks for the info guys. I called the parts store and had them do a cross check on the part numbers and they are the same part for both cars and trucks.
