I have a F350 supercab,7.3, with 170,000 miles on it, bought it used from the auction. Had it a year so far its been good to me, except for the following issues, 1. found the rear springs broken, my question, I would like to have the biggest and baddest springs put on the rear, which springs should I get?
2. I've checked the ball-joints, and it appears the upper ball-joint has a zerk fitting, but I couln't get to it, so I change it to an angled one. Things are fine.
3. cruise control doesn't work, it did when I purchased it. Lookiing for the fuse or maybe something else is wrong. 4. The lockout are tough to turn on and off, do I need to replace them, or clean them? 5. I have the wondering issues when highway driving, I know I need to take it in to have the front end evaluated. 6. Keeping my 25 year old son from getting behind the wheel, I tell him to go buy his own, he is obsessed with my truck, he also reads this forum everyday, lots of good information from you folks in here. I know he is addicted to trucks like the rest of you are, but I don't blame it either, may I'm an enabler, when it comes to these trucks too!
Is it standard or auto? If standard, check to see if the clutch switch is ok inside. Mine takes on water from somewhere, and rusts the springs and contacts. About 2 minutes to replace, but a little longer to find new springs
