first oil change

whats up guys just hit 1000 miles on my 07 psd im ready to do my first oil change do i have to use the cj-4 stuff please let me know!!!

Select your choice of CI-4+ rated oil in 15w40 weight is probably your best bet if the temps will be above 30 degrees F. You should not use a full synthetic until 10k miles. Good luck

If you can get the CJ-4, then use it. It isnt synthetic.

utahtom, What is the engineering reason behind the delay of a switch to synthetic until 10,000 miles?

X-Hibition, Many folks (including some oil manufacturers) recommend diesels be operated to 10K with conventional oil for a variety of break-in related reasons...
