My 02 F250 7.3l crew cab 4x4 PSD is new to me (only had it 2 weeks and my first PSD) it has 96k on the clock and was wondering besides from the regular maintenace schedule is there any that needs to be done that is not in the service manuals?
Or what has others done at 100k to ensure that their PSD is running smooth for another 100k?
Like Cuda said hit ALL the fluids Engine, Trans, Diffs, Coolant. Couple of other things to go over are the cleaning IC pipes and boots and the Exhaust Backpressure Sensor and tube tend to get clogged with soot over time (Braklean and 0.95 weeedeater line works good on the tube). If you have ESOF make sure you have no vacumn leaks and work the hubs from "auto" to "Lock" a few times to make sure they are not frozen.
It`s always a good idea to grease the needle bearings on your front hubs and while yer at it do the brake slide pin grease job front and rear. Maybe drive shaft slip yoke grease also.
Talk to me when you hit 726,000 klm like mine. Just make sure you take a visual check on everything. Regular oil and lube and air filter changes. As The Pearl gets higher in klm I change my air filter more often the what is suggested. As soon as her oil changes to brown instead of of a gold, it gets changed. Oil filter too. When I check the oil I always check the tranny fluid. To make sure its nice and normal in colour and doesnt smell burnt.
I already changed the differential oil in her and a few other things.
Good idea to undercoat every year although do to that valve leak she just had, I guess the front end is done lol.
