Hi, I have an '06 F350 reg. cab, 4x4, with man. trans, split bench seat. Sorry for an unimportant question, but I am wondering about the plastic compartments on the inside of the console lid. They look like they were designed for something special, but I can't imagine what. Anyone have any ideas? At the front of the console there is also something that looks like a phone jack. ????? Thanks for any thoughts, John
I have often wonder the same thing. Good to see another real pickup with a regular cab. Mine is an 05 f350, reg cab, manual trans, 40/20/40 bench, and no carpet. I did get the xlt package though. Is yours a diesel? Mine is and it is a pile of crap. Hope yours is good.
blockmanjohn, I couldn't be happier with my pickup... when it is running correctly. Everything about the pickup and configuration exceeds my expectations by a long way, except the engine. It seems it is always in the shop. I know they are not all like this because there are a lot of people who are really happy with the PSD. Unfortunatly there are also a lot who are very unhappy, me included. However I hope yours is good.
Also, in hind site, if you are thinking of chipping, I would chip the **** out of it. I tried to keep mine stock, be nice to, etc. I really didn't want any argument with the 100,000 mile warrenty if I needed it. Well, mine is bone stock and they try to wesal out of everything when I bring it in for warrenty. I really don't think it would be any harder to have a claim even if it was chipped. Just remove before bringing it in.
I love the the look of the regular cab. What color did you get? Also, isn't that transmission great? I live in the mountains, and just love the 6speed.
Also, for your question, I think the consloe lid is designed to hold one of those mini cleanX packages... maybe. I usually stuff reciepts in there.
