I'm not sure but i believe you can run super chips with propane. I did some research about running propane with my dp tuner. The problem is going to be that you have a 02 with pmr rods. Same as my 03. The rods are weaker than the 99-01 and you would be pushing the limit on the hp the rods can handle and with these engines costing 8000 or more to replace you don't really want to gamble. I have had alot of post on propane and meth/water injection if you do a search you should be able to learn more.
You really need to contact Superchips and find out how much timing advance the tune you want to run has, since propane will advance your timing quite a bit. If it's more than a little timing advance from the tune, it's probably not a good idea.
I don't know if Superchips has a tune specifically for propane, but I would definately look in to it.

bingo... the only way you should run any tune other than stock with propane is one that is programed for propane. either use your stock tuning or call Jody T at DP and get some porpane tunes on a flip chip
The Superchips 3 tune module, is very tame. 50,70 and 90 tunes are fine off the shelf. They may tout them as 70, 90 and 110, but they are the same. These kinds of universal programmers and modules, are not radical. As well they should not be for the average daily driver/tower who purchases them for a little extra.
Anything 100 hp and over should be suspect for advanced timing and other manipulations which can and do cause damage all by themselves. None of these high hp tunes actually give you 120 or 140 hp just create heat and erratic operation.
With a multi position chip with the extreme settings, yes you would want to have the "aggressive" files rewritten.
Plenty of 01-03 trucks have the right kind of tuning and have run for many years and many miles with modifications.
For the record, my Predator, never leaves the 65hp setting, and I make plenty of power and get a couple mpg's to boot!
