Unhappy Engine noise

My 99 f150 sc shortbox 5.4L 4x4 has 107K and I noticed a noise to which sounds like its coming from the driver's side of the engine. To me it sounds like when a lifter went bad on my 67 chevy, just not as loud. I checked the fluids and all are ok. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Its fairly common for a manifold stud to break and cause an exhaust leak. Mine sounded just like a lifter tick.

The ticking didn't completely disappear when it warmed up, but it was reduced a lot.

Check the manifold. I bet its leaking or has a broken stud. These trucks do this a lot.
