bore x stroke

had no luck searching. What is it?

Cubic inch/liter displacement, CID = area of the bore times the length stroke times the number of cylinders.

lol...thanks man. I should've been more specific and asked for the measurements of the bore x stroke in inches for a 7.3L.

that was awsome tho...good for a chuckle. Thanks.
I was just reading some lit. last night and saw they stated the 400 had the longest stroke of any engine ford built, so I thought I remembered the 7.3L was over 4"....and now as Im typing this I am remembering that Ford didnt design it....BUT the 5.4L mod motor has a 4.165" stroke. The articles must be behind in their times.

Yep, up until the mod motors came around the 400's 4" stroke was top dawg. The 400 is still Ford's only square engine 4" bore x 4" stroke.

I forgot the 6.8L v10 mod motor has a 4.165" stroke also. Whoever has that literature up should revise it to say "the 400 has the longest stroke of any PUSHROD engine Ford ever built"
