O/D Off Light Flashing
Need Help
O/D off light flashing on dash board. When driving RPMS are up and does not shift at normal speeds. Also when in park racing engine up bad miss until letting off pedal
????

There have been a lot of posts on the OD off light flashing. My truck does it too. I will post a link to a solution in a minute.
As far as the miss, there is not one. Ford put a rev limiter at 2900 RPM when in park and neutral to protect the engine. I was a little pissed before I found this out, too.

Not a problem. Also, I am assuming you have a 3.0 or 4.0 motor, and it has the 5R55E 5sp. Should you decide to fix this yourself (which is a pretty good idea), make sure to do your homework and know what you are getting into. Good luck, keep us posted.
