06 intake system for powerstroke

Any help on the best performing intake system for the PSD would be great. I was told if I went with an aftermarket system that it would make the truck loud on the inside.I have a programer and exhaust I just want to complete the system.

Your Ford intake system is probably one of the best systems around, but if you MUST spend money, stick around. Others will be here to tell you how.

Island Doc,

While the stock intake does a good job of stopping dirt it is restrictive. I replaced a stock filter element at 8000 miles on my 6.0 and got a 2+ PSI boost increase!! When I installed the AFE Stage I I got an extra 1-2 PSI above that. The new AFE Stage II Mega system is the best out, sort of like a Stage II for a 7.3 they way it is designed. We have a sale on them right now as they are new to the market, call us if you have any questions on it.

LAWNMOWER MAN,

It has a larger filter and a full mandrel intake tube that goes all the way to the turbo inlet. Some of our customers that have the early Stage II have swapped and claimed higher boost PSI and more responsive throttle etc.
