Tranny Lines

We are in the process of replacing the 240 6cyl with a 302 and c4 tranny. We are gathering everything we can before we start.

We have a question, does anyone know where we can get the transmission cooling lines that go to the radiator? We have checked quite a few catalogs and it seems no one carries them.

When my son and I replaced his we use strait 5/16" brake lines and bent them with a tube bender. Used 4' of 5/16" brake line for each one.

What type of flare did you put on the ends? Is flaring the tubing hard to do?

Nope, when you get a tubing bender, sometimes they come with a flair tool. Just make sure your flair is even all around. I used one to make a fuel line.

I got the lines from a parts house here, they were premade strait brake/fuel lines with the fittings alreaty on them.

Mike, Like the others, I bought two straight lines with ends from Advance Auto and bent them myself. I do think I had to step up the fitting size at the radiator.
