my question is this. i would like to know whether the mbrp exhaust is better than edelbrocks exhaust systems. looking at them they are from quality companies. edelbrocks exhaust i found is not stainless, its alluminized. i guess my question is what does everyone think is the way to go with the exhaust?
thanks a bunch
The stock exhausts on our trucks are stainless. If you look at yours, you'll see it's probably brown and filthy, but can actually be polished up a bit if you really clean it. So if you like the stainless for the shine, you'll have to actually clean or polish it to keep it looking that way longterm, or it'll end up looking like aluminized.
The stainless should last longer if you live in a snowy winter (road salt) environment.
The performance between stainless/aluminum will be the same... it's just the looks/last that is the difference, and the price.
