Hello,
I'm having a problem when i drive the throttle cuts out and the engine drops to idle even though i'm pushing on the throttle. The "check engine soon" light comes on as well. this lasts about five to ten seconds and then clears up. There are no stored codes. I replaced the CPS thinking that was it but it didn't fix it. Any help would be great! Thanks in advance.
Okay folks, I'm having the same problem on my '99 f250 diesel. I've replaced the cps and the accelerator assembly but the problem still remains. Any ideas? Thanks.
Did anyone find out what was wrong i have the same problem. 2000 psd lifted banks powerback package manual. when i romp on it in first and shift to second after a couple of seconds in second gear the truck cuts out for a quick second and comes back to life. the check engine goes on then truns of couple minutes later?? also happens sometimes when i go over a bump. anyone have any idea???

the connections?? i will look at it tomorrow and see what i can come up with. it sounds good b/c when i warm up my truck in the morning it will shut off if i get out of it wrong. i must hit the chip located near the clutch to the left. it only has happened to me twice but i will keep you updated.
just started my truck to warm up this morning and i hit the chip with my hand and the truck wanted to shut off therefore i am thinking it is the chips connections it is loose. i hope it is not a defaulty chip. it has been in there for a while with no problems until a week ago. hope it is just the connections on the chip. will check them and keep you guys updated.
just checked my computer and it looks like it is in there solid no loose connections. what can be the problem?? the computer's insides?? again it only does it when i go over a bump or accelerate/romp on it and shift to second. i have the otto mind from banks and it fits in there but could be reinforced but not sure it is the problem any sugestions on reinforcing it. can i drive the truck without he chip in there? can i put a edge chip in there??

i think i figured it out. i took out my chip and i blew into it and now it works fine no problems. nock on wood. it was probably just loose and needed to be pushed in. thank you.
