them be about 54"tractor tires, then he has a set of rockwells with 4wheel hydro assist/hydro rear steer, warmed over 600hp 460 , some military style double wrapped very heavy double leaf spring packs and some very beefie 3/8"thick mounting hardware done to a level of fabrication that would make cletus/pro/ivan etc wet their pants . Just thought i'd give you a bit of motivation there cletus
Cody, I don't need any more motivation than I already have. My ol' Visa is getting warm just thinking about the near future. I think I have my wife convinced that I am getting the tires before I have a truck.
Speaking of a truck..... There is one that I need to muster up the courage to go ask about. The guy lives about 4 miles from me and it's the ONLY one I've ever seen. It's a 79 F-350 CC longbox. It never moves, it's fairly straight (no big deal as I have body parts for these coming out my ears), and looks to be completely stock. He kind of lives on a dead-end road in the middle of nowhere so I don't know if he ever gets asked about it. He's got an extra (matching color) cab sitting by it too so who knows what his plans are.
Everyone's got a price.
Thanks for posting the pic dude. That thing makes me drool.
Man I wish I could afford to buy an old truck and fix it up. Those early 60's to mid 70's fords just make my heart race. That truck is a beauty! -myers
There's a 59 here in town for sale for $1500 with a nice straight body. I've been really tempted to get it . . . 2wd but that's no biggie since I'd be replacing axles anyway. I love that old body style!

Go ask man!
I've never seen a truck like that either. That would be a sweet rig.
when he gets everything built in a month or two right?!?
Um, yeah, sure. I don't even have a flippin' rig yet. I'm still looking for the perfect victim.
Are those Boggers available yet? GOSH!!! I need to have them sittin' in my living room. I have BIG plans for 'em. TV stand, coffee table, papasan chair, and dining room table.
I have seen two '58s and one '59 in the last 2 days. None for sale, just sitting there rotting away (although one looked darn good). However, I don't want to run Rockwells and I don't want to worry about driveshaft angles so I believe that I will keep looking for a crew cab long box (of any era). Anyone have a '66 sitting around?
You're planning to run 54's but you're not using Rockwells?
I never said I wasn't going to run BIGGER axles than Dana stuff. I just don't want to run Rockwells due to their ever-increasing popularity and cost. I was actually thinking of a 2-speed Eaton rear out of a farm grain truck and possibly a front out of a 2 ton utility truck....gotta do some more research on ratios and lug patterns first though.

Yeah. So. This will be a situation that is curiously similar to the last project....I have the funds available to BUILD it, but finding the cashola to facilitate maintaining breakage is another story.
