WOW! What lousy luck. Sorry to hear that...the semi driver was probably thinking, "whew, good thing it was just an old truck and not something worth anything"....
Man, it really seems if theres something nice or that stands out, its like it has a target on it. I'm not sure but I’d assume the semi just missed a 85' Toyota on one side and maybe a 87 Caravan on the other side
Do you plan to get another 60' or are you going to stay with the 72? We, the folks who post here, could look out for you another 60. Sorry to hear about your misfortune. I am going to the Run to the Rock F100 show next weekend in NC I can be on the lookout for you one. Thanks Donald
Oh Yes In keeping my eyes out for a 57-60.. I fell in love with the old girl and have a garage full of parts for another.. Plus what ever I can salvage for this one.. I was planning on buying the 72 as a donor... but now I have to use it..

When I used to drive my 29 Ford on the Interstate people would look back at it as they passed by and drift into my lane. I often had to move further to the right to keep from being sideswiped....and those were admirers!
First, sorry about your lost. I am sure all of us can feel your pain, next to my family and friends, my truck is my most valued position and would be devistated if something would happen to it. We're all glad to have you here to tell us about it and no one got hurt.
Second, and it might sound morbid but after all it's just a truck, not a living being, do you have any pictures of the truck, after the accident I mean. We're all curious when we drive past an accident and I'm sure others on the board would like to see the truck. No offense meant.
Aw man that hurts. Now I'm almost scared to finish mine and take it out on the streets! NOT!!! I'm gonna drive mine, but if that happens to it, they might have to restrain me if it gets run over.
Jeff
First off, I'm very glad that no one was hurt but, dang, that really sucks to lose the ol' beast. Hopefully you won't get hammered by the insurance company.
I have a soft spot in my heart for the 67-72 trucks (I've had several, my first was a 68 F-100, my favorite a 69 F-250, secong best was a 71 F-100 4x4) They seem to all have a distinctive smell inside the cabs and a very satisfying "chunk" noise when the doors close.
