just wanted to know if 3/4 ton,1 ton etc floor pans are the same as the half ton, and if not what are the differences and is it possible to use some of floor out of the bigger trucks? also if any of the slick owners in sask have any leads on parts or wreckers that have parts for the slick please let me know. thanks
thanks john do you know of anyplace on the web i might find dimensions of cabs sizes of bigger trucks and any other info i might be able to use and pass on to others?
The cab will be the same on the one tons and the 1/2 ton. However trucks bigger than f-350 have a wider cab. You can also use 65 or 66 floor pans. The hump in the center is biger but it will work.
thanks for the info, but what about the step in the 64 cab by the door, the 65 and 66 dont have this or can i modify them to fit? they are alot easier to find in parts catalogs than the 64 is. and one auto wrecker that has what i need wants $200 or more for the parts
sorry john yes im looking for parts and thought if the bigger trucks were the same it would narrow down the search, theres not a lot of the 1/2 ton trucks in the salvage yards but some have more of the bigger trucks and thought i would use them instead with some modifications if need be
bentt, I used a 66 floor pan and saved my step. I don't know if you can modify it to a complete 66 floor. I would think there will be alot more to it than what had been done to mine. Are your steps ok? If you need more info let me know I will be glad to help in anyway.
thanks jason as far as i know the steps are ok, but with work and renos on our house havent had time to play with the truck i will look and get back to you.
thanks john i have the catalog downloaded and have checked them out. i know that most of these companies that deal with parts for our old trucks are from the states, but do you know of any up here in the great white north? ive searched the internet but have yet to find any one
