Rust Proofing
When I open the door to my truck I notice light rusting on the bottom. Top of rocker panel? Anyways, I heard from a bodyshop to use [POR 15], I have no idea what it is. Also I have rust on the botton of the doors. All I did was smother it with touch up paint. If possible I wan to completely stop the rust without taking it to the body shop.

Check in the paint forums, but from what i gather, if you take and grind the rust to bare metal, then apply the por15, then sand and paint, it looks great and stops the rust! They have more info in the paint forum though.
