Chassis swaps
I have a 1961 SWB F100 style side truck chassis, but I want to put a 1956 F100 sheet metal onto the old 1961 chassis. I understand I'd have to remount the 1956 cab mounts onto the 1961 chassis, but, can any body tell me is the 1956 & 1961 chassis very similar?
I also want to mount the 53 - 56 half ton stepside bed and the long running boards onto the 1961. Can this be done as I am unsure about the length, width & wheel base of it - any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm told the length of th 53 -56 half ton stepside bed is 110 inches - what would be the length of the 61 style side bed?
