2000 Split Bench Automatic
Does anyone have a better cup holder system than the one that comes stock? I find it too far away to use comfortably and twice now when trying to put my soda back in the holder the pressure from holding the cup at the top popped off the cover and got soda all over my console! Grrr
Since I'm pretty much the only driver of the truck and the seat doesn't get moved often there seems to be plenty of room between the seat and the stock cup holder to put something else.
Anyone got any ideas?

His suggestion is actually a good one, if you grab bucket seats out of another truck like an explorer or something you can steal the center console as well (which I believe has a pair of cup holders at a good distance from you) it should do the situation perfectly! It's no more than an hour or two of work as it's nothing more than a few bolts and such to get it done

If you are the only driver have you looked at some of the aftermarket desk type kits that sit in the passenger seat? Some of them have a rack that has holes for pens, cups and so on. There are also some organizer racks that are made to go on the floor between seats [like in a van] that have a cup holder in them. You might be able to just put one of those on the seat.
