Hey guys and girls i am new on here and just got my first ford about a month ago (supercrew 2006)... i am getting a system installed sometime soon and was wondering how it will sound... i have only had one other system before so some help from yall i would apprecciate the help
FRONT SPEAKERS- Boston Pro Series Components... pricey but are supposed to be awesome
BACK SPEAKERS- Alpine Type-S Components
SPEAKERS AMP- Alpine MRVF 345
SUBWOOFER- Pioneer Premier 12" Shallow sub... it fits
SUB AMP- Rockford Fosgate P-3002
HEADUNIT- Alpine, not sure what model number is
CUSTOM SUB BOX
Well if anything on here isnt very good or could do better id greatly appreciate it... keep in mind im getting all of this for 1000!!!
i would definatley recommend a pioneer head unit instead of alpine, personally i have had 2 pinoeers and one alpine (first) and was dissapointed with the apline lack of features, the pioneers i think works better with the pioneer subs, although i have had rockford fostgates punch 10's and really really like them a lot of power and there were only 100 for the two. Just my 0.02's
I personally would stick w/ the Alpine head - I have the CDA-9856 and it is great. You can easily attatch an ipod plus it's sat radio and hi-def radio ready. It plays any mp3 discs and has a great interface for adjusting the sound. As for the speaker set up, I would recomend a voice matched set rather than multiple brands in the front and rear positions. They just sound better. Look for component speaker sets from alpine or infinity, most better brands make a component system that is voice matched. Good luck, and have fun building your system!
I dont care for rockford amps, you may want to check if they have protection (fused) on the amp. If it does not you may want to choose a different brand. I have an alpine head unit and front components, also two bazooka 10's with a profile amp.
Anything you do will improve the sound, the quiet cab will add to the sound in the cab, I love my stereo sound in this truck!
