This is a great resource for Aerostar owners. I'm looking at a water pump replacement on a '93 3.0 with 306,000+ miles. Nothing, and I mean nothing (we are the original owners) has been done to this engine beyond regular oil and air filter changes. Current sparkplugs have 150,000 miles or more (I know...). Planning on water pump, top and bottom radiator hoses (heater hoses replaced 2 yrs ago), thermostat, and belt(s) replacement. What, if any other items do you suggest I replace while I'm in there?
if just a local short trip secondary veh. that you do not have to depend on? your list above is great
if a required primary veh. that you plan on keeping, replace the timing chain/gear set on cam shaft and new front seal since front timing cover will be off....surprised it has lasted this long....timing chains usually fail before 200k miles
If you are replacing the waterpump on a 3.0L, be very careful.
The new water pump should come with a paper template for you to make a clamp from a steel bar. That clamp must be used to hold the timing cover in place while you remove the water pump. Otherwise, the gasket between the timing cover and the block might be ruined just by the simple act of removing the water pump.
Good luck and I'm impressed with the mileage you got from this beast.
By the way, welcome back.
On Edit:
I just read 96's answer, and I think he's right. Might as well do the timing chain and sprocket, then don't worry about my warning above.

I think the belts should also be replaced. Why not go ahead and replace the plugs and inspect the wires too? Inspect the cap and rotor , With that milage they have to be worn past the factory gaps and a no start problem will result in time.
