wire diagram

I'm looking for a wire diagram for a 1984 F250 deisel 4x4.

I just returned from Iraq and while I was gone a squirl was living under my hood. He ate all of my wiring and I'm trying to piece it back together. Any help would be appreciated.

I have never seen a good wiring diagram for the early diesels. Try the combined Haynes Diesel manual that covers the Ford, Chev, and cummins engines.

On the good note, the diesel engine wiring is very simple. Most you should be able to trace from there source on the engine.

Basically you got:

- Altinator circuits
- Starter solenoid and circuit and battery cables
- Glow plug circuits
- Fuel Filter Sensors, Heater
- Oil Pressure circuit
- Two engine temp. circuits
- Injection Pump High Idle, fuel shutoff, and timing advance solenoids.

A couple of the 84 colors are different from the 86 colors.

Thanks for everyones help, I was able to finish my re-wire job.

Now that I can drive the girl it feels like the tranmission is shifting hard through the gears and does want to hold the high gear. I can accelerate through all the gears but as soon as I slow even a little in the high gear, the transmission downshifts.

I think a year of sitting might have caused build up somewhere. Any recommendations.

I was thinking valve body, but I've never work on a transmission.

Don't want to sound ungrateful or anything, because I do appreciate your willingness to shar. Would you happen to have any online storage where you could put them that wouldn't require us to join in order to download a copy? Maybe put them in your gallery here on the site?

I already belong to Imagestation and Photobucket, plus get 10 megs of storage from my ISP. I don't really plan on using Webshots and would just as soon stay off their spam lists
