Have a 96 F-350 with a 460 motor. The air coming from the vents (no AC) at full cool feels 10 degrees warmer than the outside air. Little thing, but becoming a nuisance as with the mileage on that thing, I prefer the vent to the AC.
When I noticed this, I also noticed a moaning from the motor (front left side seemingly near the power steering pump) that is intermittent – only when the truck is warmed up, and only at idle. When in full moan, if I touch the gas even the slightest and change the RPMs, the noise goes away.
Not sure these are connected – in fact not likely, but figured I’d post this to see if anyone else has had this same situation and can help.

Newer trucks, unlike the trucks from 70's or vans from the 80's, do not have the vacuum or mechanical water valve for the heater hoses that they did back then. Nowadays the water passes through the heater core at all times and can warm the air a little on warm or hot days. The only way around this would be to install a water vacuum valve and "T" it into the "panel door vacuum motor" blue hose. This hose only has vacuum on it in A/C or vent and is the way the trucks that had them were setup.
