I have exhaust, intake, gauges, dp tuner 120hp chip, and bts valve body and i am very happy so far. I have a 6.0 intercooler i have been waiting to install cause from what everyone says it has a 3.25" tube on the drivers side and the one i got only has a 3". Trying to find out if it's what i need or not since my stock boot is a 3.25 and thought it should work? I know i need to do the fuel mods to get that up to par. My question is what mod should be next? I know i need to do something with the turbo to. I also have the crappy rods since it's a 03 so wondering how far i can push it. I am interested in a propane or water/meth injection but don't know if that should be my next mod or if that would push it over the edge. Any advice or thoughts would be great. thanks guys.
Bob at Dieselsite has your boot that you need to go to a 6.0 intercooler.
As far as mods for your engine, a TN or BB turbo would be a nice upgrade. Also Stage I injectors will get you a little closer to 400 hp. If I were you I wouldn't do pane or water/meth because of the PMR's. If you are looking to race, the mods I mentioned will give you some decent times down the track. If you want more, replace the rods with some forged units, and get some headstuds, firerings, etc, then go with bigger injectors and nitrous.
zoodad - free, CCV - 15 bucks. I wouldn't worry about the intercooler until you deal with the CCV. The CCV will make the intercooler perform like it should and not have all the crap running through it.
Injectors with a pmr'd truck is a no go. Unless you want a crankcase inspection hole the size of your head. I would look into a regulated return fuel system, big oil, and then upgrade the trans to a bts type unit. Big oil will wake up your truck in the higher hp tunes.

There's quite a few folks running Stage I's with PMR's. Usually that's getting to the upper limit of where you want to go without changing rods. But it's still not a radical injector. Normally adds 30-40 hp at the rear wheels. Folks running with those injectors and supporting mods are at 350-375 hp, typically.
Keep in mind that your stock torque converter is the weakest link in the system right now. Especially when running hard in the 120 HP setting. You might not decide to do it now, but start stashing some $ away for an aftermarket TC or (if you can) the whole tranny (i.e. Faubion Motor Sports or BTS).

There may be people doing it but I won't recommend it to someone on here, as it's not reliable safe power. In a towing/racing application its asking for trouble. by upgrading the HPOP the stock injectors will wake right up, and there will be enough oil to fully realize the tuning parameters in the extreme settings.
also upgrading the t/c trans like I said earlier, it will minimize driveline loss, at put more power to the rear wheels.
i would probably do a turbo or fuel mod next then see how much more power you want to add. i would think stage 1's would be fine but if you throw a rod i dont want to see you at my house haha. man i wish i diddnt have college tuition and could mod my truck more. anyone want to help a poor college kid?
What do you recomend for big oil and regulated return fuel? Is there a link to a home made regulated return system. What about a homade big oil? I would like to keep going with mods as money allows so big oil and fuel will be needed down the road anyway. Might as well take care of that now. Any links would be helpful. I have somewhat limited funds right now so would like to make as many parts as possible. Thanks

As far as homemade big oil..... good luck. You have to machine a custom built adapter to port the two oil pumps together. That's why it's so darn expensive to buy the setup from any vendor. It's not cost effective to do it yourself.
Where is the best place to look for a dual hpopor i remember reading something about a site that was coming out with some other big oil setup? I didn't think i needed it at the time. What should i look for? I have stock injectors now but at some point down the line, after the rod issue is taking care of, they will be getting replaced. Will it hurt to get a big oil setup that will work for the big injectors later now and use it with the stock inj. till i get the big ones? thanks
Ponch, a stock regulated return sys is nothing more than some hose and fittings if you want to go with the stock setup. Less than $100. You can always massage the return pressure at the bowl with the stock spring.
I have not yet finalized my setup but it is a rear fed, front T valved, (air bleedable) dead end system using the factory return from the bowl that can be adjusted with homemade shimmimg. I have simply bled the air through the valve and rarely do it since, unless it gets noisy, and run the stock return.
You can always spring for the dual return setup with a Y-block (or T)and regulator with gauge along with the orifice, but that adds $$.

Currently a dual HPOP setup is the only thing available. You can compare with Beans, BTS, etc and find the one you want. Prices vary a bit but start at just under $2k.
The alternative is not out yet. Bob at Dieselsite is working on the Pulse, it's a completely remanufactured single HPOP unit designed to flow nearly as much oil as a dual system. He has finished the initial tests on his own fleet, and has started beta testing on a select few customer's trucks. If all goes well he'll begin production soon. Read up on his website, he's got a nice article on the front page.
As far as getting big oil now, go ahead. It won't hurt anything. There are some folks running the Terminator or Stealth systems on their stock injectors and love it. It really wakes up your truck.
I'm laughing because I just read through this thread and realize how very little I know about my truck. 2002 F350 CC 4X4 Dually. I haul a 4000 lb. camper and pull a 3500 boat. All I know is I haven't had any problems and it pulls hills and gets me down in the sand. I have just under 60K miles. The only thing I have gathered so far is I probably should carry a spare Cam Sensor? I'll keep reading and try not to sound too stupid when I ask questions.
rad1026...I bought my truck in feb. and didn't know much about it at all. I spent night after night searching this site and asking questions. I've learned more about the 7.3 from this site than could've imagined. I still only know a small amount compared to some of the users on here and i keep trying to learn more. Don't be afraid to ask questions. The only thing to be afraid of is once you start learning you start buying mods and once you start modind its an addiction that will drain your wallet.
