Before I go and do some really stupid "stuff" for lack of a better word
I used my die grinder with what was left of the lapping wheel from the porting to adress the valve tip indents in the stock rocker assembly tappets. They look great now, like the ones on the j yard set.. I just wanna make sure there is no hardening concerns like grinding a valve stem tip for height, then needing to re-harden it...Am I speaking english ?
From my limited knowledge, the rocker tips are hardened. And that is the end of the knowledge. I was always told never grind them, just replace. But, that was then, this is now. Ya pays yer money and ya takes yer chance....
tom
They have a valve machine that refaces the rockers. I would have them done at a machine shop unless you have the machinery to do it. Any machine shop should be able to do that for ya.
