Stock on-seat valve spring pressure?
What's a good on-seat valve spring pressure with stock springs?
I have a set of heads in my garage, that came off a 390 I got from a friend. They've had the seats done, stainless exhaust valves, and looks like all new springs and retainers.
I found 90lbs on seat, or possibly near 100, using a bathroom scale.
Is this right?
(I have no idea what the stock springs are like, the heads I built for my highboy are double valve springs and with my 210 lbs, I can't get them off the seat )
