ok gentle men, since i wasnt able to find the tranny i needed for my 1970 f250, and i dant have all the money or parts to fix the 85 f250 6.9, guess what.......im gonna transplant the 6.9 and c6 into the '70, ive measured it all out, and have a mechanic buddy helping me! ill do b4 and after pictures, and keep you all updated as i go! wish me good luck, Dustin

Good luck! I did a 7.3 transplant on my 1986 4x4, had a 6.9 in it that ate a valve,things sure are HEAVY! One very important thing to keep in mind, leave the torque converter on the trans, I didn't do it and it messed up the trans pump, had to rebuild the pump with an old one I had handy.Otherwise things are quite simple, a lot easier than gassers.
