help! stalling/poor idle

ok ive had this problem for a while now and i dont even know where to start..i wus sitting in traffic today for about 10-15 mins...slow moving..i problly let the clutch out about 2 or 3 times to move up and when the traffic started to move my truck wus bucking and backfiring like if i wus running out of gas or sumthing...so i pulled to the side revved it a few times and it wus fine..but it has done this a dozen times and i have no idea what it could be..?

It could be many things, when was the truck tuned up last?
I know it sounds silly, but you have to start diagnosing somewhere, plus your description of your problems are vague. Give us more info so we can help you better.

For a start remove the iac and clean the pintle and that general area with carb or throttle body cleaner. If it hasn't been servviced in a while it is usually gummed up. Check the wiring connector to make sure the contacts are clean.

Sounds a lot like a fuel pressure issue to me. have you checked your fuel pressure at the fuel rail?

Check computer codes.

Clean IAC on throttle body

Check for vacuum leaks

Also, please don't forget to include vehicle information when posting (or put it in your signature).

Up near the top on the left there is a user cp. Click it, go in there and edit signature, and you can make one up. Might want to check more of the settings in there too, personalize it to your liking!

Ok so when you click into user cp, theres no edit signatures, right at the top of the options? Like on mine its control panel, then settings and options, tehn right under that is edit signature.

Thanks preppypyro for helping him.

One thing I'd like to point out is that not all users signatures appear in the actual post. If you're not an FTE supporter, your signature will appear under your post count in a hyperlink that a user can put their mouse icon on in order to see your signature.

Supporters are able to have their signatures shown in all of their posts.
