While we're talking about the stuff, go ahead and say so if I'm on drugs here, but
My rocker panels are getting tore up. Lots of little chips and stuff. This is, above all else, a work vehicle. I've been tempted to have the local guys apply that to about the bottom 6" just to keep the crud away and keep it from disintegrating down the road or rusting out.
The question is, is this a suitable application for the stuff? I don't think it would look bad, we're not doing auto shows here.
I've got it on the underside of the trailer and all the exposed metal up front and its holding up great.

Yes it can be done and has been done. If you have a good shop they will be able to adjust the texture and thickness to give you the look and protection you want. If your in the Houston area....I can tell you where to go to get it done.
The guy that did mine said it could be done, but it can be tedious. He said you had to make sure that everything that was not to be sprayed was to be masked or removed. I guess the big thing was not to get it on the drive shift which would cause vibration.
He also said if it tears to bring it back and he will repair it..aka the life time warrenty.
Someone I work with had this done to their truck, but they took it up over the wheel wells also, and even had it go up at the front of the truck with a strip across the front of the hood.
