I am installing a remore start on my 2004 6.0l diesel. wiring chart says it is a green/white wire in a harness behind the parking brake release. i opened a harness and found two green/white wires??????? is this correct. i assume i need a clean tach signal. any ideas on if these wires are correct, or where would i find it
Welcome to FTE!
The wire may be Lt. Green/White. It's located in the same wire loom as the "Customer Access Wires". The cut end ones that lead into the engine compartment.

Tachometer NOT red/lt. green ac any ignition coil
Notes: On diesel vehicles the tach wire is green/white in a 5 wire harness held up with white tape behind the parking brake release.
it is in a group of about 5 or 6 wires that are held up with white electrical tape that is up above the parking brake assembly. I found it easier to look straight back behind the fuse panel Look for the white electrical tape. I think it was also maked customer access
hope this helps It took me about 6 hours to find mine

This is a direct cut and paste from the FMC "Body Builders Advisory" QVM Q-88
"3. Other Accessible Circuits near the Parking Brake Pedal
The four pass-thru circuits, the PTO signal wire (circuit 322 (LB/YE)) and the Clean Tachometer wire (circuit 76 (LG/WH)) have remained the same. Refer to figure 1 for location."
