Heck of a good question. I just looked in my 62 Supplemental shop manual which has an ID section. There doesn't seem to be an F100 4x4 listed. The 4x4 history as you may or may not know was that Ford used to contract out their conversions to Marmon-Herrington until 1959 when they started making their own. Before now, I never gave much thought to "what year did Ford produce the first F100 4x4." Anybody?

I was at a tractor show last summer and a young kid was there with the sweetest original 1959 f-100 4x4....he was bitchin' cause the "old" neighbor who sold it to him was firm at $3,000.
